Fantastic food, and great staff! Very attentive, and oh my goodness the food!! , I ate an amazing portion of 'polo valdostana', best described as an Italian Sunday! (for the Bits) I left very full, with memories of smiles from the kind staff, and a very full belly, this amazing Piccolo resteraunt is a must hit if you get a booking!

A charming Italian round the corner from the Cliffs. Charismatic waiting staff, quick service and the food is delicious. Pictured is the bruschetta for starter, lasagna and pasta pomodoro for the mains, and profiteroles/chocolate pudding for dessert. Would highly recommend!!!

We just finished from the Cliffs Pavilion theatre just after 10pm and having skipped dinner we were very hungry. We were lucky enough to find this hidden gem of a restaurant 5 minute walk from the theatre. Despite the restaurant preparing themselves to close the owners (3rd generation family) were kind enough to cook us a late dinner. We had the grilled veal with vegetables and chips, and it was lovely. The lovely owners even provided us with complimentary home made coconut ice-cream which was delicious. It was a perfect ending to a perfect night. I cannot thank the lovely owners and their staff enough. I actually want to go back to Southend just to eat at this restaurant again! Thanks!

A great find for a pre-theatre meal. Welcoming atmosphere and great service even with a full house, ambient noise was quite loud at times with conversations getting louder to be heard... Decent portions, good value. Will definitely return at a quieter period to enjoy a slower paced meal.

Excellent location for dinner. The restaurant feels very authentic, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service was wonderful, prompt, friendly and lots of laughter. The food was exceptional and I would definitely recommend! Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The food was incredible and the history adds to the ambience. 2nd generation family run Italian restaurant. The Pizza was a proper Neapolitan style wood fire oven pizza which was an absolute delicious treat to taste buds, and so was the Vegetarian Risotto. Loved it.

Busy place - in a good way. Clearly very popular. Excellent food - very well priced and the service was so typically Italian, very warm and fun. Great place. Fully recommend. We're not local but we will definitely go back when we're in the area. Daily specials looked great, presented beautifully. Family run.
